PROJECTS

Nanluoguxiang culture preservation

When we went to NanLuoGuXiang we encountered many shop-owners who were struggling in their lines of work because of poor business. To attract more customers we offered our free services to them and collaborated to create business banners and posters.

HOPE

Every month, we provide a new blackboard display for the children suffering from disabilities at HOPE charity foundation. Through these creative displays, we want to make therapy and lessons for the children more bearable, and let them understand how much joy color can bring to your life.

Smile Angel Hospital Design

By collaborating with SmileAngel Hospital, ARC created two wall vinyls in the main reception. We hope that through our exhibition we not only promote Dulwich values but also show an overlap with the charity’s values, hopefully inspiring the children in the hospital. When faced with challenges, we want to encourage the children to persevere and stay strong; with a smile on their face. Our vinyl presents the four intrinsic values of both SmileAngel and Dulwich: Creativity, Enthusiasm, Kindness and most importantly, for the children at the hospital waiting for their surgeries, Courage.

Youth Innovation Symposium 2018

Gathering more than 50 high school students, the theme of the symposium was “pioneering a new lifestyle”. We invited two guest speakers to the stage as they talked about design’s influence in society. Students later participated in a design competition that challenged their innovative minds and led to original and authentic ideas. We want to encourage youth in China to think creatively, beyond the blueprint that we associate with traditional art.

Youth Innovation Symposium 2019

Following the success of the previous year's Symposium, over 40 students came to dazzle a panel of judges with their innovation. This year's theme was "Foundations of the Future" with the mini themes: desert, rainforest, arctic, and city. We had one guest speaker who talked about the influence of design in our lives. After, students were set to work on their design and product pitches. Every student gained a better understanding of the thought process of real world entrepreneurs and further developed their confidence in delivering effective presentations.

Green Design - Environmental Protection Exhibition

To spread awareness for environmental awareness, we decided to hold an exhibition at school which featured four sustainable productions: natural dye, citrus peel paper, bioplastic, and Bottloop products (cloth that is made with recycled plastic bottles). Those items are all natural or made from recycled materials as it is less wasteful and safer for the environment.
